My name is Wade Watson. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of North Texas. My principle occupation involves coordinating marketing (particularly online) for local storefront businesses. However, I freely admit that within me lies both a businessman and an artist and the two aspects of me have often operated quite independently of one another. The soul can only be corralled and focused for a certain amount of time before it must be set free to roam freely. The way I do this is to to explore interests in art, particularly of the miniature variety.
Throughout my life I have made a deliberately unfocused effort to explore as many areas of artistic endeavor as my heart wishes with little aim toward an end result. Sometimes through formal training, but more often through self-guided exploration I have learned and create drawing, painting, sculpting, woodworking, photography, writing, programming, computer art and much more. I possess a love of delving into new artistic areas and will probably continue until I can do so no more.
In recent years I have tried to focus my artistic efforts narrowly enough to produced some interesting works that others have found pleasurable to own and enjoy. I think sharing is ultimately the second major component of the artistic process. While there is great personal benefit to be had by simply exploring and creating, I think it probably only really becomes art once some else has the opportunity to experience it. This website is part of that process for me.
